An assassination attempt to the leader of the CHP raised the question of the measures to be taken to provide the security of the party leaders especially after the 15 July-coup attempt. The number of the security guards of the RPP’S leader was increased after the attempt and likewise the number of the security guards of the President. The armored vehicles which are domestic productions as ‘Ejder’ and ‘cobra’ including the defense and anti-aircraft systems were taken into service. Besides, double official cars were used in some cases. The scope of security control for the visitors to the Presidential Palace was expanded. Even the visitors who will go to the main building have to take off their shoes during the security control. ‘Ejder’ used in the official residence is also benefited for the Prime Minister in the organizations like public meeting.
