Aiming to solve the traffic problems, Istanbul Bosphorus Tube Passage Road tenders will be held on the 15th of January. The tunnel is expected to contribute 125 million dollars per year to the economy. The construction of the project, which is started to solve the problem of Istanbul’s traffic, and which will be made with Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, will be completed within 3 years from the date of the delivery of the location. Meanwhile 76 kilometer long Marmaray project is will be in service in 2009. Taisei-Kumagai Gumi-Gama-Nurol joint venture bidded $ 2.5 billion for the Project which provides seamless travel between Halkali and Gebze.
