Delivery of the first batch of mass production is started for 8 x 8 Wheeled Armored Combat Vehicle [AV – 8 ACV] project signed and entered into force in 2011 between FNSS Savunma Sistemleri (FNSS Defense Systems) and its Malaysian partner DRB Hicom Defense Technologies Sdn Bhd. (DEFTECH). The first batch of 12 AV – 8 ACV’s are delivered with a ceremony conducted on 6 December 2014 in the manufacturing facilities of DEFTECH company located in Pekan province of Malaysia, with the participation of Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Haji Abdul RAZAK, Land Forces Commander General Datuk Raja Mohamed Affandi bin Raja Mohamed NOOR and other senior commanders and representatives of the companies that take part in the project. The first batch of 12 AV – 8 ACV’s are delivered to Malaysian Armed Forces with this ceremony. Mass production of the vehicles is carried out in Turkey and Malaysia within the framework of the defined work shares. The project is planned to be completed in 2018.
