A significant stage has been reached in the determination of prototype toward production in the project for developing domestic main combat tank. Within the framework of the project, it is targeted to produce one thousand new generation tank. FNSS , as the domestic main contractor, shall submit its production and development proposal to the Undersecretariat of Defense Industry this week. BMC, FNSS and OTOKAR, domestic main contractors of the tank project aiming to cover Turkish Armed Forces’ main combat tank necessity within the maximum utilization of “domestic possibility and abilities”, shall separately submit their proposals for production and development. These companies prepared former feasibility report together. Mentioned companies emphasized in the report – prepared in eight months and submitted to the Undersecretariat of Defense Industry subsequently- that; infrastructure in Turkey is adequate for producing a national main combat tank.
