Our President Mr. Abdullah Gül paid an official visit to Saudi Arabia between 3-6 February 2009. During his stay, Mr. President, as part of his visit, has also toured Saudi Arabian Ground Forces High Command’s Al-Kharj Maintenance and Modernization facilities on February 4, 2009 on a fact-finding trip. The facilities are operated by FNSS Defense Systems where it does modernization works for M113 armored vehicles. National defense Minister Mr. Vecdi Gönül, State Minister Mr. Kürşad Tüzmen and Minister of Transport Mr Binali Yıldırım have also joined the President in his visit. Saudi Arabian Deputy Defense Minister and the General Inspector of Military Affairs Prince Khalid Bin Sultan played the host during the President’s tour of the facility. The President was shown around the facility where he was briefed in great detail on the scope of M113 Modernization project and the vehicles that were being modernized. During the entire visit, our Chairman of the Board Mr. Nuretin Çarmıklı and FNSS General Manager and the CEO Mr. Nail Kurt have also accompanied the delegation
