FNSS Defense Systems General Manager and CEO Kadir Nail Kurt stated that they have taken a leading role in the Turkish defense industry. Stating that their areas of expertise are in the field of ground systems and the weapon systems utilized on them, Kurt, General Manager of FNSS, said: “As a company, we’ve played a pioneering role in the Turkish defense industry, particularly in exports. Our first defense industry system export to the United Arab Emirates took place in 1997. Subsequently, we signed the Malaysia Contract in 2000, marking Türkiye’s first technology transfer agreement and the largest defense industry export of that period. In 2004, we expanded further by securing contracts with Saudi Arabia, becoming the first company to operate a military factory abroad and engage in production for 15 years.” Kurt also emphasized FNSS’s regional presence, stating, “We operate across the Middle East, Far East, Eastern Europe, and Turkic Republics, with a stronger focus on the Far East and Southeast Asia.” Highlighting FNSS’s pioneering status in ground systems and platforms, Kurt added, “FNSS holds the distinction of being the first private defense industry company established in Türkiye. Our track record speaks for itself, especially in terms of exports.”
