The burgeoning partnership in the defense industry between companies from Türkiye and Hungary is set to fortify the strong ties between the two nations.
During President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s visit on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Türkiye and Hungary, several agreements were signed in various fields.
In this context, Nurol Makina, which has been manufacturing armored combat vehicles to meet the needs of the Hungarian army for some time, has intensified its efforts since 2019.
Nurol Makina signed a cooperation agreement with the Raba company in October to produce the tactical wheeled armored vehicle, known as Ejder Yalçın 4X4 in Türkiye, in Hungary under the name Gidran. Subsequently, following this agreement, they signed the contract for the establishment of the joint venture company.
