Having achieved significant success in the export of its new generation tactical wheeled armoured vehicle family, comprising PARS 6×6 and 8×8, FNSS Savunma Sistemleri AŞ (FNSS) is now awaiting orders to develop solutions to meet the specific needs of Turkey in this class.
As one of the leading armoured land vehicle manufacturers in the Turkish defence sector, FNSS exhibited a PARS III 8×8 that had been produced for the Omani Land Forces and an AV8 8×8 tactical wheeled armoured vehicle that has entered in the inventory of the Malaysian Land Forces at the Efes-2018 Combined Joint Live Fire Exercise. It was at the beginning of the 2000s that the company developed its new generation of tactical wheeled armoured vehicle family, comprising 6×6 and 8×8 versions, and named them PARS. AV8, being the 8×8 version of the vehicle, was selected by the Malaysian army, which placed an order for 257 vehicles in 12 different configurations. A further order for 172 armoured vehicles was later received from the Omani Land Forces, specifically PARS III 8×8 and PARS III 6×6, in a total of 13 different configurations.
