The Award Ceremony organised by Governorship of Ankara and the Ankara Tax Office, Department for Income and Corporate Tax Payers that Declared the Highest Amount in Ankara in 2017, was held at the Sheraton Ankara Hotel. Following the speeches, the tax payers that made the list of income and corporate tax record holders were presented with plaques and certificates of appreciation.
Deputy Minister of Finance Cengiz Yavilioğlu said that a 58.2 billion liras income and a 39.4 billion liras tax base were declared by the taxpayers through the Prepared Tax Return System in March 2018, indicating a 10.8 billion liras of tax. During the Award Ceremony, organised by the Ankara Governorship and the Ankara Tax Office Department for Income and Corporate Tax Payers that Declare the Highest Amount in Ankara in 2017, Yavilioğlu said that an important part of the government’s success was a result of the wisdom and hard work of the business world. Drawing attention to the fact that tax inspectors and tax offices were no longer seen as punishers but as guides and informers, and Yavilioğlu said that this was also reflected in budget performance.
