Nurettin Çarmıklı Mining Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Türkiye’s only mining-focused high school, celebrated its first graduating class. A total of 99 students completed their education in the 2023-2024 academic year, and the graduation ceremony was attended by İvrindi District Governor Umut Pazarcı, İvrindi Mayor Önder Lapanta, TÜMAD Mining General Manager Hasan Yücel, and industry representatives.
During the ceremony, valedictorian Ayşe Melek Altındağ received an award, while other high-achieving students were presented with gifts from TÜMAD. In a notable gesture, Hasan Yücel offered jobs to the top three graduates, reinforcing their commitment to the mining industry. The graduation ceremony concluded with folkloric and musical performances, creating a festive atmosphere.
