Giving information on the Marmaray Project which will connect the two sides of İstanbul and the two continents from under the sea, DLH General Manager Arslan said that the economic crisis did not affect the Marmaray Project. Arslan while mentioning that they have not had any credit problem during any phase of the Project, he also siad that they would be especially needing TL300 millions of additional allocation in the second half of the year. Arslan, stressing tha fact the Project will be completed by the end of 2012, added by saying that ”the archeological excavations were supoposed to take one year only but they took five years. Archeological excavations in Yenikapı are just now finishing, and because of that, we have experienced delays.”
