Twelve of Amphibious Armoured Combat Engineer Vehicles (AZMIM), the only amphibious combat engineering armoured bulldozer in the world, were delivered to TAF on 11 January,2013.
The key of the first vehicle was given to Land Forces Logistics Commander Lieutenant General Adem Huduti. The vehicle which was used only by numbered armies in the world, will facilitate river crossing operations of Armed Forces. Deputy Minister of National Defence Hasan Kemal Yardımcı and Defence Industry Undersecretary Murad Bayar also attended the ceremony.
Bayar said, “Thanks to the breakthroughs made in land vehicles in the recent period, we fulfil the needs of Turkish Armed Forces. Our goal is to generate a solution to our defence industry with new resources. FNSS is a company which achieved this goal since it was founded.”
