Signatures were appended for 27 ZAHAs |Ekonomik Çözüm / 10/03/2017

As stated by SSM, the contract regarding domestic design and production of armored amphibian vehicles was signed with a ceremony within the framework of the ZAHA project implemented to supply the needs of the Turkish Naval Forces. Accordingly, 27 ZAHA will be produced in total in order to provide safe transfer of the brigades deployed on landing ship to the targets on the coast and road under hard sea conditions. There will be 23 vehicles for personnel, 2 for command and 2 for relief purposes. The vehicles will be designed and produced with FNSS possibilities and capabilities entirely according to “domestic development” model. ZAHAs whose technical characteristics comply with the operation concept and task requirements defined by the Navy Forces Command are aimed to be superior then the similar vehicles in terms of the number of personnel to be transported, ballistic and mine protection levels and performance criteria on the road and sea.
