Having become a major base of the defense and aerospace sector, Ankara continues to maintain its position as the leading province in sectoral exports, as was the case in previous years. Turkey exported $1.8 billion worth of defense-related goods and services in the first nine months of this year, $825 million of which was attributable to Ankara. The main contributors to this success of Ankara were the leading companies in the sector, including Nurol Makina and FNSS.
