The signing ceremony for SAYP (Researcher for Defence Industry Trainee Program ) was realized with the cooperation of SSM, FNSS, ASELSAN, HAVELSAN, TAI, STM and The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) together with the University of Economics and Technology (ETÜ). Defense Industry Undersecretary Cemal Safi Tüfekçi delivered a speech in the ceremony and mentioned the point where the defense industries come to. In his speech, Tüfekçi underlined that the projects realized are all mean to be Turkey’s emphasis on “as a major state, we also exist in defence field and we keep on struggling” and added: “Although caused to a terrible wreckage, Second World War, also opened the doors of great technological developments. It is obvious that we have to set a premium on defense industries in terms of being a vehicle to technology”.
