Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, announced that a record-breaking 117,537 vehicles crossed the Osmangazi Bridge in a single day. Minister Uraloğlu also emphasized the significant time and fuel savings achieved through the bridge, stating, “Thanks to our bridge, we’ve prevented the time and fuel losses caused by the increasing number of vehicles and traffic. Now, our citizens don’t have to travel long distances or wait for ferries.” The guaranteed coverage rate has increased to 209 percent. Minister Uraloğlu emphasized that on April 13, a total of 117,537 vehicles passed through the Osmangazi Bridge, exceeding the guaranteed number of crossings by 2.94 times. Additionally, Minister Uraloğlu noted that this figure surpassed the previous record of 111,770 vehicle crossings set on June 24, 2023.
