Another further step was left behind in Marmaray which will unite the two sides of Marmara with a passage under the sea. Yavuz Tunnel coming from the Uskudar station met with the tube at the bottom of the sea within the Marmaray Project. Minister of Transportation, Mr. Binali Yildirim, who participated in a ceremony at the construction site in Uskudar, united the tunnels by lifting up the eblocker curtain in the middle. He also mentioned that the construction of half of a total 13.6 kilometers of both land and undersea tunnels was completed.
