In the New Generation Light Armored Vehicles project, aimed at fulfilling Türkiye’s need for modern Armored Combat Vehicles, the initial stage of the contest for wheeled platforms has concluded, with the contest for tracked platforms set to begin in 2025. At the World Defense Show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, FNSS Business Development Director Burak Sağ provided updates on the ongoing projects in an interview with Fatih Mehmet Küçük, Editor-in-Chief of Defence Turk.
Burak Sağ mentioned that FNSS is currently advancing with the development of the KAPLAN NG, which was designed by FNSS. Additionally, he noted that the Defence Industry Agency (SSB) had issued a request for information document (RFI) for tracked vehicles last year. Sağ also outlined FNSS’s plan to introduce the KAPLAN NG alongside the upcoming tender initiated by the SSB in 2025.
