The physical realization of Ilisu Dam and HES (Hydro-Electric Power Plant) which were started to be constructed across Tigris River 8 years ago and shall provide 10% of the hydro-electric production of the Republic of Turkey has reached at 72%. Ilisu whose foundations were laid by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan by then and construction was committed by Nurol Construction shall make contribution to the development of primarily Diyarbakir, the cities of Batman, Mardin, Siirt and Sırnak, namely the entire Southeastern Anatolia Region. When completed, with an annual mean 3,833 billion – kWh energy it shall produce, it shall yield a 400 – million American Dollar added value annually.
