IDEF 2007 8th International Defense Industry Fair which is the major fair in its region and among the word ‘s greatest five weapon fairs all around the world began on 22 May, Tuesday. 334 foreign companies from 49 countries and 162 Turkish defense industry companies attend the Fair. Through the way which was initiated by ASELSAN ; military factories and FNSS, TAI, TEİ, HAVELSAN, MİKES, ROKETSAN, ASPİLSAN, TAPASAN, TÜRKTIPSAN, OTOKAR, BMC, ALP HAVACILIK, AYESAŞ, MilSOFT, KALEKALIP, SELEX, NETAŞ, YALTES, ESDAŞ, RMK MARİNE, HEMA, SARSILMAZ have taken firm steps forward. Turkey which has been only an importing country previously and has been a market for world weapon giants now exports its defense industry products which it develops.
