A delegation from Çanakkale consisting of representatives from the Chamber of Agriculture, the Organised Industrial Zone, the Commodity Exchange, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry visited the Lapseki district for contacts with the relevant authorities, and left very satisfied. The delegation first visited Tahir Şahin, the district governor, in his office, in the presence also of Eyüp Yılmaz, Mayor of Lapseki. After chatting for a while, the delegation visited TÜMAD Mining Industry and Trade Inc., a company operating in the district. During the programme, which was attended also by Bilge Küçükaytan, Assistant Manager for Integrated Management Systems & Sustainability; and Şaban Kılıçan, Public Relations Manager, Certified Engineer Çağrı Ökten, Operations Manager, presented a slideshow to the visiting delegation and showed them around the mining site, during which the delegation had the opportunity to watch the gold casting process.
