Gulf Bridge is the most important pillar of ‘Gebze-Orhangazi-Izmir Highway Project’ that will reduce the travel time between Istanbul-Izmir to 3 and a half hour. The Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is frequently receiving updates for the rapid finalization of Gebze-Orhangazi-Izmir Highway Project which is one of the most important projects to him. Prime Minister, following his aerial inspection of last week on Izmit Gulf Crossing and Iznik Southern Intersection, Gemlik, Hersek itinerary, received a briefing at the Altınova Hersek construction site where the southern abutments of the bridge is being constructed. Prime Minister Erdoğan also carried out inspections from sea at the site where the abutments of the bridge are fixed at the Dil Cape and during his inspection visit; Mr. Binali Yıldırım, Minister of Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications, and Mr. Nihat Ergün, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology, accompanied him.
