Following the opening of the Eğiste Viaduct, one of the most challenging segments of the route—the Kuş Yuvası road—is also expected to enter service. This hazardous stretch along the Konya-Alanya corridor has been partially closed thanks to the commissioning of new tunnels.
The Eğiste-Hadimi Viaduct, Türkiye’s tallest bridge in terms of pier height, opened in 2022. Within a year, the project’s cost has increased from TRY 414 million to over TRY 5.1 billion, with full completion targeted for 2028.
