The latest indicator of Turkish contractors’ prominence came yesterday, as Chairman of Turkish Contractors Association (TMB) Erdal Eren announced in a written statement that, with respect to their size, 22 Turkish companies have entered the list of “Top 225 International Contractors” prepared by the Engineering News-Record (ENR) every year. Turkey had 20 companies on the list last year. Turkey preserved its third place after the US and China, which had 51 and 49 companies in the list, respectively. Turkey’s largest contracting companies that also have a strong world presence are Enka, Renaissance, Gama, Tekfen, Yüksel, Baytur, Nurol, Cengiz, STFA, GAP, Yapı Merkezi, Haznedaroğlu, Kolin, Mak-Yol, Doğuş, Summa, Soyak, Alarko, Rasen, Kayı, Eser and Aska.,
