Our President Mr. Abdullah G\u00fcl paid an official visit to Saudi Arabia between 3-6 February 2009. During his stay, Mr. President, as part of his visit, has also toured Saudi Arabian Ground Forces High Command\u2019s Al-Kharj Maintenance and Modernization facilities on February 4, 2009 on a fact-finding trip. The facilities are operated by FNSS Defense Systems where it does modernization works for M113 armored vehicles. National defense Minister Mr. Vecdi G\u00f6n\u00fcl, State Minister Mr. K\u00fcr\u015fad T\u00fczmen and Minister of Transport Mr Binali Y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m have also joined the President in his visit. Saudi Arabian Deputy Defense Minister and the General Inspector of Military Affairs Prince Khalid Bin Sultan played the host during the President\u2019s tour of the facility. The President was shown around the facility where he was briefed in great detail on the scope of M113 Modernization project and the vehicles that were being modernized.
