Sheraton Ankara Hotel and Convention Center, one of the praiseworthy entities of the Nurol Group is continuing to change and renovations are made pursuant to the development of the Ankara Market. For guests claiming five star service qualities, Sheraton Ankara will be continuing to cherish the difference of Sheraton with the rooms in the towers section and for guests claiming more exclusive service, we offer rooms in the Lugal, Luxury Collection section which will continue to serve with the standard of the Luxury Collection. Upon the requests of our guests, investments in the new special entrance, lobby and reception, Solfege Restaurant and Cafe Scalini have been completed for the Lugal, Luxury Collection Section. In addition, the Lugal Suite with sunset view has also been renovated.
In the 24 storey Towers Section of our hotel which has become an icon of Ankara, a total of 311 guestrooms including 1 Presidential Suite, 1 Diplomatic Suite, 35 Executive Suites, 4 Apart Suites, 32 Grand Deluxe Rooms, 4 rooms for disabled guests, 5 left-handed rooms, non-smoking floors and club floors are tastefully furnished reflecting the warmth of a home creating a perfect environment for both business and leisure travelers with all amenities.
In the Lugal, Luxury Collection Section of our hotel, totally 91 guestrooms including 1 Lugal Suite, 4 Apart Suites, 32 Grand Deluxe Rooms, 10 Deluxe Studio Rooms, 16 Deluxe Suite Rooms, 7 Deluxe Twin Apart Rooms and 21 Deluxe Rooms are serving for Luxury Collection guests.
Solfege Restaurant and Cafe Scalini in Luxury Collection Section have begun to serve our guests with their unique and rich cuisine.
The Convention Center offers Grand Ball Room, Tulipia Ball Room and multi-purpose meeting rooms to accommodate society weddings, congress and meetings with the latest sound-light and image technology. The new wing also offers a fair-exhibition hall, press room and live broadcasting room.
Events, Delegations, Fairs and Congresses
Major official delegations hosted in the hotel in 2010 were; Prime Minister of Lebanon, New Zeland, Croatia and Poland, Presidents of Ireland, Estonia, Russian Federation, Indonesia, Germany and Governor General of Australia. National Days, organized in the hotel were; Kuwait, Ireland, EC, Spain, Kazakhstan, Bahrain and Qatar.
Some major congresses that took place in 2010 were; Turoge 2010, Ekmud 2010, Ophthalmology Congress, Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, Turkish National Otorhinolayngology and Head & Neck Surgery Congress, Gas & Power Turkey Energy Summit, National Surgery Congress, Turkish Accountants Congress, Ankara Orthopedy Days, Global Energy Organization, 19th International Geophysics Congress and 12th Turkish Orthondonty Congress.
Annual organizations that took place in the hotel in 2010 were; TOBB Annual General Assembly, Akare – IEFT and Edukaturk Education Fairs, Novartis Science Awards, Ankara Fashion Week, Anadolu Insurance Regional Agency Meeting, BTVizyon Platform, Turkish Football Federation Financial Assembly and TURMOB General Assembly.
Some of the monthly organizations held in the hotel were; Intes lunch meetings, Turkish Association of Constructors, Ankara Association of Urology, Kıwanis and Rotary Clubs meetings. Some of the charity activities we participated in 2010 were; Women and Youth Platform Meeting, Cemil İpekçi Fashion Show for Deceased and Veteran Polis Officers’ Children, International Womens’ Club tea party for the Children with Cerebral Palsy and a mutual activity with Unicef.
Located at the mezzanine floor, the Health Club offers sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, treadmill, bicycle, step machine, fitness equipment in a cardiovascular gymnasium hall and an indoor swimming pool. Health Club members may benefit from the above mentioned services and also enjoy squash, tennis, solarium, massage and aerobic facilities.
